Overview

Shuttleworth is home to the Shuttleworth Collection, the Swiss Garden, and Shuttleworth House. Once home to the Shuttleworth family, The House is now a dedicated wedding and conference venue, offering meeting rooms, conference spaces, team building days and corporate parties. Built in 1875 and surrounded by 425 acres of beautiful parkland, it features many original features, furniture and an impressive collection of 18th and 19th-century paintings. Vintage airworthy aircraft from 1909-1950s, mostly Edwardian vehicles, and classic motorcycles are the heart of the Collection, which overlooks an operational grass runway. Flying display events with vehicle parades run May-October every year. Adjacent is the 19th century Regency Swiss Garden, one of the best examples of this picturesque style. The Collection and Swiss Garden are open daily to the public, except Christmas and New Year. We are committed to learning and offer a diverse range of formal and informal education programmes for all levels from Early Years to KS3.
