Overview

Shamrock Renewable Products Limited is an Irish biomass fuel producer that offers carbon-neutral alternative products to meet market demand. The manufacturing facility in Meath, Ireland produces up to 100,000 tonnes of carbon-neutral biomass products such as briquettes, wood pellets and other related products. Locally grown willow provides a large part of the feedstock used to produce our WillowWarm wood briquettes together with virgin native biomass. WillowWarm briquettes can be used in all wood burning stoves, conventional open fires and outdoor chimineas. Key benefits: • 100% carbon neutral • made from 100% sustainably grown Irish wood • high heat efficiency producing a long, clean burn • fire burns longer – less ash, less moisture • value for money as not liable to carbon tax WillowWarm products are available throughout Ireland. Willow provides alternative land use for Irish farmers and landowners alike. While most other crops must be ploughed, re-planted, or re-seeded on an annual basis, willow has a lifespan of about 36 years and is typically harvested every two years. Thus, once planted, willow provides 36 years of continuous crop production without the need for annual ploughing, re-seeding, or re-planting. Instead, it is simply re-harvested every two years, and the cycle continues, making it the sustainable option for Ireland. As harvesting rotation is every two years, 50% of the total plantation acres are harvested annually. Each acre yields approximately 20 to 25 tonnes of willow chip per harvest depending on the land quality and soil fertility.
