Overview

SHABO Wine Company was founded by the Iukuridze family. It is based on wine traditions that existed in Ukraine for 2,000 years. 1200 hectares of vineyards and a modern technological complex of the winery are located in the south of Ukraine at a wine latitude of 46.6°. It was the unique terroir of this region that inspired the dream of the founders of the company – to create the Great Wines of Ukraine. Received more than 500 awards at prestigious competitions, including Decanter Wine Awards, Mundus Vini, New York IWC and others. And in 2021, Ukraine for the first time won two golds at the London Decanter, thanks to Chardonnay Shabo Grande Reserve 2015 and Cabernet Shabo Grande Reserve 2017, which received 95 points out of 100 The first and only winery in Ukraine with the status of wines of Controlled Designations of Origin, as well as PDO and PGI Listed in Michelin restaurants in London and Paris Export market of 20 countries Shabo is one of the oldest wine-growing regions of Ukraine, with ideal soils and climate between the Dniester estuary and the Black Sea, on the same wine latitude as Burgundy. At one time, the wealth and prospects of the local lands were appreciated by the Swiss winemakers from Canton Vaud. In 1822, Swiss settlers moved to what is a modern day Shabo, to live and make wines. Thus, creating the first and only fully autonomous Swiss winemaking in the world. They laid down the foundation for top level viticulture and world leading wines.
