Our objectives are to provide an opportunity for education, training, networking and skills enhancement to the staff involved in the day-to-day operation and maintenance of water and wastewater systems; to create a professional network for all those involved in drinking water and/or wastewater; to establish formal First Nation water and wastewater certification programs; to establish a formal environmental control facilities classification system (database); to initiate affiliations with professional organizations to ensure consistency in certification and classification; to support operators and water staff to achieve regulatory compliance; to work with university, and other, researchers to investigate industry innovations and best practices for drinking water and wastewater; to promote health and safety in the workplace; and to hold Annual General Meetings and sponsor various conferences and workshops.
