Jared Evans opened Set In Steel in 2015 to create custom made polished concrete benchtops and furniture. Initially commencing his trade qualifications in the mining industry, Jared had a desire to be creative and have his own company. Early attempts at polished concrete tables were successful but heavy, time consuming and backbreaking work. After much research Jared became interested in the GFRC and ECC polished light weight concrete. This was the turning point that has enabled him to create Set In Steel. The name is derived from the set concrete sections generally being fitted into a steel frame. Since the business commenced, it has grown significantly to now being able to train and employ staff to assist in the creation of these unique products. In the early months of the business we were successful in showcasing our work at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show and in turn featured on Better Homes and Gardens, and more recently on Grand Designs. Our work has been recognised within the industry as a leader in quality products that fit the briefs of our clients. At Set In Steel you will find that we pride ourselves in constructing quality work and liaise closely with our clients to achieve this. You will find the staff at Set in Steel happy to assist with your enquiries about this product and how it can best work in your project. Our Showroom is open Tuesday to Thursday 10:30am till 5pm and Saturday 9am till 12pm or by appointment. Our workshop is operating Monday to Friday, however we are not always onsite as we may be out on various installations.
