SENATORE VINI Winery’s Family in Ciro’ For 4 Generations It was the dawn of the 1900s that the grandfathers Francesco Senatore and Giuseppe Sculco founded their wine cellar located in the district "Corfu Vecchiu" in Cirò Marina. In the 40s were built the ancient stone cellar in the district "Corfu Novu" which accounted for about half a century, the place of business, until the 4 brothers, Raffaele, Salvatore, Giuseppe e Franco Senatore, gave life in 2005 to today's cellar in the district "San Lorenzo" of Cirò Marina, a modern and technologic winery of 4500mq, equipped with the most innovative vinification systems and wine-making machinery. Today the company is represented by a patrimony of 40 hectares of land of which 32 suited to vineyard and produces 280,000 bottles per year, also organic. All under the careful guidance of the General Manager, Dr. Raffaele Senatore, medical specialist and senior professional, with in the heart the love for his land, which led him to devote himself completely to the wine project, to reaffirm the ancient testimony of expertise and tradition that has always belonged to the family, spreading the name of Senatore Vini and the Calabrian wine culture worldwide. Important elements of the terroir, such as Mediterranean microclimate, unique in the world, consisting of mild temperatures and an optimal humidity and ventilation, the composition of the soil, but also the vineyards cultivated with a low yield per plant which favors quality over quantity of the fruit, and a careful gathering, selected and rigorously by hand, combined with the expertise and passion of those who bring forward with determination the business conduction, contributing to the achievement of a high quality standard of our products, like evidenced by the many 30 awards that the company has received in recent 6 years. Because the company's mission is to best represent own brand: the mythological figure of the unicorn... symbol of rarity, beauty and uniqueness.
