Overview

The Michigan Works! Monroe County Employment and Training Department (MCETD) administers a variety of programs using grant dollars awarded competitively by SEMCA (Southeast Michigan Community Alliance). Programs offered include, but are not limited to, the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, the Partnership. Accountability. Training. Hope (PATH) Program, the Community Corrections Program, and the Food Stamp Employment and Training Program. On-the-job and work based training is also available to employers and job seekers. Although some programs require specific eligibility or a referral, any job seeker can use Employment Services offered in the convenient, user-friendly MCETD One Stop. Job seekers are encouraged to upgrade their skills and hone their job seeking abilities at the MCETD to move forward successfully in Michigan's transitioning economy.
