Overview

Public education K-14 in California is comprised of over 1,000 school districts and 73 community college districts. These districts support the education of millions of students and employ thousands of teachers, administrators, and support personnel. There are 5 major issues that create the complexities for management in California educational system - Collective Bargaining, Financial Restrictions, Human Resources and Personnel Issues, Governance, and Effective Representation. School Employers Association of California (SEAC) is a joint-powers agency that provides education, support, and professional development to superintendents, Boards, human resource professionals, and management teams through training, research, and advocacy in collective bargaining, personnel, governance, and representation. To ensure quality management, effective governance, and representation in Sacramento, SEAC seeks to work with superintendents, governing boards, and management teams in K-12 and community college districts throughout California by offering: + Negotiators Certification Training and “at the table” negotiations assistance + Fiscal analyses and studies + General support for human resources and personnel issues + Governance team support and training + Policy and legislation advocacy in partnership with Capitol Advisors
