The Saudi Society of GI Oncology (SSGO) is an independent, non-profit organization in Riyadh Saudi Arabia, dedicated to the advancement of research and education in the field of gastrointestinal oncology. Founded in 2022, SSGO is committed to providing comprehensive, up-to-date information and resources to its members, as well as promoting collaboration and research between healthcare professionals and organizations. SSGO aims to provide a platform for GI oncology specialists to share their knowledge and expertise, as well as to foster learning, research and innovation in the field of GI oncology. The organization is led by a board of directors, who are selected through a rigorous selection process. SSGO also has a scientific board, composed of leading GI oncologists, which is responsible for developing and overseeing the organization’s scientific activities and initiatives. Furthermore, SSGO has a number of committees, such as the Cancer Research Committee, National GI cancer guidelines, Public relation and the Education Committee, which are responsible for organizing educational events, research initiatives, and conferences. In addition, SSGO offers a variety of services to its members, such as access to educational and research materials, networking opportunities, and a variety of other resources. SSGO also works to raise awareness about GI cancer in the region and to educate the public about the importance of early detection and treatment of GI cancers. SSGO works closely with its members, healthcare professionals, and organizations to ensure that the latest advances in GI oncology are shared with the community.
