Overview

The Saranac Review was born in 2004 out of four writers' vision to open a space for the celebration of diverse voices. The journal represents a literal "cluster of stars," an illumination of the Iroquois roots of its namesake, the word Saranac. As such, it is committed dissolving boundaries of all kinds by publishing literary cross-pollination works of both emerging and established English writers from around the world. Today, our acceptance rate is a little close to 4 percent, in which we have discovered and published gems from Gregory Pardlo, Xu Xi to Adam Schwartz & Gila Green.
