Overview

Founded in 2018, Sapir College Legal Podcast ("Talking Law") provides accessible and illuminating treatment of complex legal subjects, in short episodes featuring interviews with lawyers, academics, regulators, legislators, and litigants. A first of its kind in Israel, the podcast is produced and delivered by LL.B students and B.A communications students and supervised by an Editorial Board led by Dr. Yofi Tirosh Head of the Sapir College School of Law and in collaboration with Maya Gayer, a top editor in "Galei Zahal". Students choose the topics, do the research, conduct the interviews, broadcast and edit the podcast. Each season has an overarching theme. The first. 2019 season, was dedicated to freedom. It explored various aspects of freedom, such as freedom to become a parent, children’s freedom, employee's freedom of dress and self expression, and more. The second, 2020 season, is dedicated to law in the age of technology and information flow. The first episode discusses the crimes that take place in the Darknet, and the second episode discusses how social networks have changed the legal reality regarding libel. הפודקאסט המשפטי של בית הספר למשפטים והמחלקה לתקשורת במכללה האקדמית ספיר, "עוברים על החוק", הוקם ב-2019. הפודקאסט שואף להנגיש לציבור הרחב ידע ותוכן משפטי בנושאים מגוונים, באופן ידידותי ומעמיק כאחד. הפודקאסט מופק ומוגש על ידי סטודנטים לתואר ראשון במשפטים ובתקשורת ומונחה על ידי מערכת בהובלת ד"ר יופי תירוש, ראש בית הספר למשפטים במכללת ספיר, ומאיה גאייר, עורכת בכירה בגלי צה"ל. הסטודנטים אחראים לבחירת הנושא, ביצוע המחקר, הראיונות, ההגשה והעריכה של פרקי הפודקאסט. העונה הראשונה של הפודקאסט (2019) עוסקת בהיבטים שונים של חירות משפטית כמו החופש להיות הורה, חירות של ילדים, הופעה חיצונית במקום העבודה, ועוד נושאים מעניינים אחרים. העונה השנייה דנה בהיבטים שונים של המשפט בעידן המידע והטכנולוגיה. הפרק הראשון עוסק בפשעים שמתרחשים ברשת האפלה (הדארקנט) הפרק השני דן בהשפעות של הרשתות החברתיות על שינוי התפיסה המשפטית של תביעות לשון הרע.
