SAMSON FILMS is one of Ireland’s leading independent feature film production companies. In addition to developing its own film and TV drama material, Samson also acts as a co-producer and executive producer on a wide range of Irish, European and International feature film projects. Recent productions include : Carmel Winters' Float Like A Butterfly (winner of the FIPRESCI Discovery Prize, 2018 Toronto International Film Festival and Audience Award at 63rd Cork Film Festival) starring Hazel Doupe and Dara Devany, Viko Nikci's Cellar Door (Best Irish First Feature at the 2018 Galway Film Fleadh) starring Karen Hassan and Elfar Adalsteins' End of Sentence starring John Hawkes and Logan Lerman. Previous productions include Once (John Carney) Grabbers (Jon Wright), The Moth Diaries (Mary Hannon) and A Dark Song (Liam Gavin). Upcoming productions include Lina Luzyte's The Castle, Cathy Brady's Wildfire and Rose Plays Julie, directed by Christine Malloy and Joe Lawlor. The company has been awarded slate funding from Screen Ireland and the EU CREATIVE MEDIA programme amongst others. Managing Director David Collins is on the executive board of the Screen Producers Ireland and is a member of the European Film Academy. Samson also has a sister company, ACCOMPLICE TELEVISION, which specialises in original drama for television.
