Overview
Salad Box US is a healthy food served fast concept that took off in Romania in 2012. It has more than 70 locations worldwide. The first US location was launched in downtown Miami in Spring 2017. The second US location was open in Tribeca, Manhattan, NYC at the end of 2017. Miami was chosen as the first location because of its diversity. It truly is a melting pot in terms of culture and food behavior and that makes it a perfect sandbox environment for testing and launching food concepts. We started by altering the recipes of the predefined salads to better fit the taste (Cobb salad was introduced in the menu and also a Tropical salad was launched as a Miami tribute). We changed the dressing recipes and added more with a local flavor (Raspberry Vinaigrette, Chipotle, and Blue cheese were featured for the first time in Miami). Right before the NYC launch, we added two more boxes to the original salad box: the Warm Box and the Crepe Box. The Warm Box is similar to a bowl, adding warm grains to the combo as we were asked to by our customers (quinoa, rice mix, cauliflower rice, couscous). The Crepe Box is a homemade crepe that is inspired by the folding style of street food Miami culture. You get to enjoy a savory crepe and add salad components as the filling. Absolutely delicious! The whole concept is about prepping almost everything from scratch in-house for a homemade taste and feel of the end product and above all, fresh. It's time to change your definition of "Fast Food".
