Overview

Secretary of the Air Force, International Affairs (SAF/IA) advances U.S. national security by cultivating deep, enduring relationships through security cooperation with allies and partners in support of the U.S. Air and Space Forces. As the lead integrator of the Department of the Air Force security cooperation enterprise, SAF/IA oversees and coordinates a wide range of activities to develop mutually beneficial partnerships across the air and space domains. These activities – which include training and education, exercises, equipping, information exchanges, personnel exchanges, agreements, and defense and military contacts – help to develop, strengthen, and evolve the global network of alliances and partnerships that is America's greatest strategic asset.
