Overview

ROTINOR GmbH is a German company based in Stuttgart. Established since 2004, it specialises in the manufacturing of high performance Diver Propulsion Devices for military sub-surface applications. The first product launch took place in 2004. The ISO 9001 certified corporation is represented in over 40 countries and has meanwhile delivered in excess of 1.000 vessels worldwide. With the Black Shadow and the Divejet, ROTINOR provides two versatile applications for professional clandestine and special operations. Both vehicles are driven by an extremely robust and highly efficient maintenance-free electric jet propulsion system that works on the principle of water displacement. The E-jet propulsion system is powered by exceptionally efficient high-energy Li-Ion accumulators. In addition to the unique drive technology, the ROTINOR vehicles stand out by the fact that they are suitable for both underwater and surface operations. The ROTINOR Black Shadow (RBS) is the absolute powerhouse of the ROTINOR vehicles and is designed for transporting up to four fully equipped combat divers and the ability to tow additional equipment. Excellent hydrodynamic characteristics of the RBS allow for long range under water missions features a modern electronic navigational compass along with collision avoidance active sonar technology. Being a hand carried device, the RBS is fully compatible with all NATO submarine torpedo tubes and can also be launched safely by parachute drop. The ROTINOR Divejet 2 (RD2) is an extremely lightweight, agile and yet very powerful diver propulsion vehicle. It is designed for transporting one fully equipped combat diver but with the ability to transport up to two divers and equipment. It provides a multi-color illuminated TFT display and state-of-the art electronic compass technology. Thanks to its easy handling, the RD2 can also be easily launched from other water transport vehicles such as kayaks, RHIBs or patrol boats.
