Rootfire is a platform for reggae music worldwide, founded in Charlottesville, VA, with partner offices in Oakland, CA. Our mission is to empower artists and nurture the community who supports them. We are committed to being an active, long term ally to the oppressed, practicing anti-racism, and supporting artists to do the same. Our non-profit, Rootfire Cooperative, is a label services program which has been featured in Forbes Magazine, Billboard Magazine, and more. Designed to provide interest-free loans for the production and marketing of recorded music, artists maintain 100% revenue and ownership of their music throughout the entire process.
