Rolls-Royce Solutions Africa (Pty) Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Rolls-Royce Power Solutions AG (Holding Company) situated in Germany. Our Holding Company has more than 10 000 employees and is owned by Rolls-Royce Holdings. Rolls-Royce Power Solutions AG was founded in 1909 and has been a major engine manufacturer for more than 100 years under the mtu brand. Rolls-Royce Solutions Africa specializes in large engines, propulsion systems and distributed energy systems including liquid fuel and gas reciprocating engines for use in electric power generation, mining, rail, naval and marine applications. The mtu brand name is a promise of quality, reliability, dependability, design adequacy, with competitive and low life cycle costs. Our responsibility extends to all engine sales, spare part procurement and service support of all mtu products within the Sub-Saharan Africa region. Our product range is the widest and most modern in the sector. It covers diesel engines as well as complete propulsion systems for ships, for heavy mining, rail and military vehicles, and for the oil and gas industry. During a history spanning more than 100 years, Rolls-Royce Power Solutions AG and its predecessors, including Maybach-Motorenbau GmbH in particular, have been responsible for repeated innovation and have continually been at the forefront of technological progress.
