Rochestor Gas and Electric (RG&E) was founded in 1848, and has been in the Rochester community ever since. Today RG&E serves approximately 388,737 electricity customers and 321,651 natural gas customers in a nine-county region centered on the City of Rochester. At RG&E, we've always been dedicated to the communities we serve, and strive daily to provide safe, reliable service to customers. That's why we provide more than electricity.
