RISE Structural Engineers Ltd was founded by Ingrid Chauvet who brings almost 20 years of experience working on architecturally-led projects where the structure needs to remain discreet. We aim to deliver structural designs which are elegant, practical and economical. Our offices are based in Bristol, but RISE works nationwide; throughout the South West, London, Manchester and even in France. When RISE is first introduced to a project we look at the challenges carefully and strive to resolve them up front. RISE believes that looking at the details ensures quality. Within the design, we think about the connections, how the structure fits within the envelope, how the design works across different levels. We don’t leave issues for others to sort out, RISE works with the design team to find a solution. Finally, RISE thinks about how the structural elements are going to be built and what can go wrong on site or during fabrication. We ask ourselves, ‘what are the risks?’ and, ‘what we can do about them?’. RISE understands that risks add costs, and loss of time on site. In addition, RISE provides support to contractors working on site, checks how things are progressing and can carry out conformance checks. RISE also designs temporary works.
