Overview

The Richmond United Soccer Club (RUSC) is a non-profit association dedicated to helping soccer players of all levels reach their highest potential. We are a grassroots community and run a variety of soccer programs, from recreational to competitive teams, from U3 to U18 age levels. The club also hosts teams for men and women playing in their respective adult leagues. With our Pillars as our foundation, the RUSC supports both BC Soccer and Canada Soccer Pathways while maintaining a fun and safe learning environment for all players. The RUSC was founded in 1974 as the Richmond Girls’ Youth Soccer Association to establish, maintain, promote and foster the growth of girls’ youth soccer in Richmond, BC. In 1997, the club was renamed the Richmond Girls’ Soccer Association expanding our reach to all females, from youths to adults, within the community. In 2020, we once again renamed the club, this time to Richmond United Soccer Club and amended our Constitution to be of acceptance and inclusive of all youths and adults and of all genders and identities. As our motto states, “Diversity and Inclusion. Together Stronger. United as One.” Lessons learned on the soccer pitch and training ground create good habits and life skills that will equip our young athletes for future success in any field.
