In August 2015, Wolters-Althoff Investments (WAI) teamed together with CEO Luca Salomoni to acquire the global MasterChef software and services business from Render Image Srl. At the same time the business changed its legal name to Specifi LLC, headquartered in Chicago, IL and introduced a new brand and mark. The business, now known as Specifi, LLC, will continue to have a substantial presence in Venice, Italy, and operate within Europe, the Middle East and Africa as Specifi Europe Srl. Since 1994 RenderImage has been active in the realization of vertical applications based on AutoCAD® and developed by analyzing the needs of the company with which it is in contact, to obtain "real" competitive advantages. Over the years the company has become specialized in a series of services geared to those companies that must look after planning and management problems tied to the sales network. By combining the enormous configuration possibilities of AutoCAD® to a software for the elaboration of offers and orders, RenderImage is in a position to offer complete solutions. With the aim of making its services even more competitive,the company is part of a restricted number of developer companies certified by Autodesk with the brand AAD (Autodesk Authorized Developer). With this RenderImage is able to have access to a particular version of AutoCAD® called "OEM", that allows for the creation of "stand-alone" applications, this means that they work without the need of having a full AutoCAD® license. The activity of RenderImage doesn't stop at what has been described so far, but it is organized in such a way as to be able to offer its customers, and their sales network, the following extra services: education, technical assistance (telephone and Web), a software handbook and final product packaging (cd-rom, packaging, hardware key, etc.).
