About Us* We aim to facilitate and advance learning by providing teachers, parents, and guardians, with applied teaching and learning methods, lesson preparation, and effective strategies, combined with the tricks of the trade to allow them to stimulate attention and drive learning in their children and students. We believe that teaching is an art rooted in science. We believe that repetition is the mother of all teaching. we believe that patience is the patron saints of all good teachers. However, learning can only be engendered when both these elements come together wrapped in passion. No one, and no matter the methodology or pedagogical approaches employed, can transfer information and knowledge to a learner. Rather, learning takes place when concepts are methodically presented based on preparation. On that basis, information is first absorbed and then assimilated by the learner. Contrary to common belief, this process takes place over time, and learners must be given the time to both process and digest all newly introduced concepts, before they can output what they have learned through such progress monitoring and measuring instruments, as testing. In addition, the teacher or tutor must consider the level of ability of his or her student or students, and therefore, develop appropriate techniques and activities to address the student’s individual learning needs and style. This necessarily implicates an understanding that each student will go through the learning process over a varied length of time. You will not receive a degree or credits from this program, but you will learn how to effectively teach and help others learn, whether you are teaching in a regular classroom, helping a child with homework, tutoring, mentoring, or you are a student adviser. *We work one on one.
