Reina's Brokerage & Company is an independent food researcher and product developer for Japanese foods brands that wish to penetrate the American health-conscious market and restaurants. I assist large companies to small-to-medium companies with direct market research, commercialization, product specification, website building, one-stop traditional/digital branding, package design, nutritional labelling & FDA/USDA compliance paperwork. About Me Your Liaison to the US Market When I came to the United States, I begin working for America’s healthiest retail store, Whole Foods Market, as a healthy food products research & developer. The reason I started this job was to support my family-owned business in Japan, Terra Foods, Inc., which was known as a R&D company for producing healthiest snack technology in Japan called, “Yakijyaga”. By using far-infrared laser, it could produce the same texture as fried potato chips but with the lowest oil amount and calories. To bring this ground-breaking method that produces this evolutionary snack, I established my own brand and company here in San Francisco called, “Manna Foods, Inc”. At Whole Foods Market, I researched what vegetables and fruits were popular in terms of the taste and texture for the local people to understand the consumer needs here in SF. People’s desire and expectation for healthy foods continue to change every year. I kept a keen eye on the market trends among early healthy food adaptors, such as Whole Foods Market consumers, and discover clues for previously unknown Japanese healthy foods that might be of interest to American customers. Mission Statement: We are extremely passionate to deliver brand messages & traditions healthy Japanese foods to America. In recent years, healthy foods market is rapidly growing in major cities in the United States. Personally, bringing unknown ingredients, plants, and naturally processed foods from Japan and adjust that familiar taste to the liking of the local people, is a life mission for me as a food consultant to make America healthier.
