Overview

The Belgian Regulatory Body for Railway Transport and Brussels Airport Operations is the governmental organization which regulates rail transport and Brussels Airport operations. It was officially founded in 2004 and has been entrusted with the following responsibilities: • Watch over the market to make sure that the railway market and the economic operations at Brussels Airport are functioning properly. Moreover the Regulatory Body checks the charges and the tariffs levied respectively by the rail Infrastructure Manager and Brussels Airport Company. • Protect the interests of the users of the rail infrastructure and Brussels Airport, who need to have a non-discriminatory access to these facilities. • Advise the Belgian Authorities regarding all the aspects related to the regulation of railway and airport.
