Dr. Maureen O'Connell received a PhD in clinical psychology from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. She has advanced training in assessment, treatment and consultation with individuals, couples, and families. She currently provides assessment and treatment services with a focus on treatment of depression, anxiety, and trauma-related conditions. She is on the permanent registry with the College of Psychologists of Ontario with competencies in clinical and rehabilitation psychology in adults and seniors. She has extensive experience with first responders, individuals who are survivors of violence and accidents, current and former members of the military, and individuals who are survivors of childhood adversity. She utilized an integrative approach to psychotherapy, primarily drawing upon cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) and interpersonal psychodynamic approaches to find the best fit for each client.
