Jennifer Silver, CFA and Michael Mufson, CFA, founded Redwood Investments, LLC to focus exclusively on managing global equity investment solutions while establishing a performance-oriented culture aligned with our clients’ missions. After successful careers at Putnam where they generated highly competitive track records in U.S. equity investing and Neuberger Berman, where Ms. Silver launched the growth equity investment business, they established Redwood, a boutique asset management firm centered on the needs of the client with minimal distractions found in a larger, diversified firm. Since 2010, with a team of investors, who average more than 25 years of experience in both US and non-US investing, and a singular investment process that we believe utilizes the optimal blend of quantitative efficiency tools and bottom up, fundamental qualitative research, the firm has expanded its offerings to focus on less efficient asset classes across the global spectrum with emphasis in capacity constrained strategies best managed in a boutique. Our culture is anchored in a strong shared investment philosophy and team process that ensures team wide accountability and rigor of process that we believe offers a structural advantage, leads us to develop a clear alpha thesis that guides our research and allows us to build optimally diversified yet concentrated portfolios that we believe will generate meaningful excess return while controlling risk.
