Red Thread refers to the core idea or theme of something. It's the throughline that makes it all make sense. There is so much noise on the internet that it is hard for users to find the things they are looking for. Users get spammed with SO many emails that they wind up not opening them even though the content is exactly what they are looking for, need, or want.
