Clean air ducts are critical for maintaining healthy indoor air quality. In a typical home, contaminants such as pollen, dander, and dust are pulled into the HVAC system. These contaminants begin to accumulate in the ductwork, air handler and coils as the air is recirculated – which takes place 5 to 7 times per day on average. Over time, without proper cleaning the same HVAC system that we rely on for comfort can instead begin producing an environment of toxic air, causing problems for people with respiratory health conditions or environmental allergies. This is why you should have your residential or commercial duct systems inspected and/or cleaned at least every 2-5 years.
