Overview

Commonly known as ReadiMUN, we are an international Model United Nations conference that is organised by the students of the University of Reading. Founded in 2012 by the Reading University Model United Nations Club, we are now at our sixth conference which is happening on the 1st-3rd December 2017 and are continuing to draw delegates from across the world. Model United Nations is an academic simulation of the United Nations, that aims to educate participants about civics, current events, effective communication, globalization and multilateral diplomacy. Students represent different countries, acting as diplomats negotiating in simulated debates as they could be found in different bodies of the United Nations. Participants must research their country's policies and opinions on the matters to be discussed, in order to debate, deliberate, consult, and then develop solutions to world problems.
