Overview

From January 1st 2023 Seed Force officially became RAGT New Zealand, solidifying our partnership that began in 2006. What does this mean for you? Actually, a lot is still the same, like the relationships we’ve formed, our people, products and our quality of service. Joining forces with global powerhouse RAGT means kiwi farmers get the best of our local homegrown expertise combined with leading global research. Now we are able to put even more effort into innovation and our local customers have even better access to best international thinking and products. With over 300,000 test plots worldwide (including right here in New Zealand), 40 breeding programmes across multiple species and 17 research centres – your farm will reap the benefits with RAGT plants bred and proven to thrive in challenging climates. Within our 32 species, you’re sure to find the right plant for the right place to get the right outcome. That’s why we say, ‘Think solutions. Think RAGT.’ What does RAGT stand for? Officially the name comes from the four regions in southern France where the company has its origins – Rouergue, Auvergne, Gévaudan and Tarnais.
