Overview
Queen's Knights Robotics Team is a student-run robotics team at Queen's University focusing on developing mechanical, electrical, computer software, and machine learning skills by designing and implementing 3 robots. The team intends to compete at the 2024 International North America Robomaster Competition next summer. The mechanical structures are built by customized Carbon Fiber and CNC machined parts and the design includes independent suspension systems and climb mechanisms. The control systems consist of high-end hardware such as STM32 processor chips and NVIDIA Jetson GPUs with feedback control system programming including PID control. The robots are also powered with AI, Machine Learning based TensorFlow, and Linux that are capable of facial detection and trajectory prediction.
