Overview

Wine Preservation Perfected The QikVin was invented within a busy and flourishing winery. With over 40 wines open in our tasting room the preservation of wine and dollar losses due to oxidation was a serious matter. This real-world problem led to the invention of the QikVin. The greatest inventions are simple and solve a real problem. We knew what the problem was, it was spoiled wine. We then set about to solve the problem. How we accomplished this is so simple it's genius. How We Solved Oxidation! 1) Replace the bottom of the wine bottle with a piston 2) Seal your wine in the QikVin by expelling all the air from a bottle by simply pushing up on the piston 3) Your wine is now once again sealed air tight 4) Pour and enjoy a glass of wine and watch the piston move up through the body of the bottle. 5) You can see that there is no air touching your wine!! Manufacturing The engineering to complete this project is unbelievable. The tolerances are insane. The challenge: create something liquid tight that still slides freely. Add a one way valve in the neck of the bottle and we are good to go. We did it!! Why Is It So Cool? It still looks like a bottle of wine but you can expect fresh wine for days or weeks after opening. If seeing is believing, then you can visibly see how the oxygen is removed from the bottle. No gas cartridges and no preservatives are needed. No pumps and no needles nor ongoing expenses! It is dishwasher safe. The QikVin turns heads at the dinner table and is a great conversation piece during supper or at parties. Best of all it preserves your wine on the occasion when you do not drink all of it. No more spoiled wine nor half empty bottles of cooking wine left over in the fridge. Now you can have great wines as they were meant to be, enjoyed down to the last drop. The Qikvin comes in red and white wine editions.
