The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in the year 1999. The department has started B.Tech program with an initial intake of 40 in the year 1999 and 180 from 2019 on wards. The department has also started M.Tech program in the year 2006 with an intake of 18. The Programme was accredited by NBA thrice in the years 2007, 2012,2016 under Tier-II and subsequently accredited under Tier-I in 2019. The department has 36 qualified Faculty out of which 10 faculty having Ph.D and 26 having M.Tech .The faculty members actively involve themselves in research activities and published/presented papers in National/International Journals and Conferences. The department has state-of-the-art infrastructure and computing equipment worth Rs. 2.7 crores. Internet band width 500Mbps(1:1) leased line is available, supported by SOPHOS Firewall providing security. The department has well established class rooms and Laboratories equipped with LCD/LED Projectors and audiosystems. The college website is maintained by the Departmentof Computer Science & Engineering. The department has formed four Quality Circles to enhance quality education–Skill Training to students - as a part of it students are encouraged to solve problems in various coding platforms Hacker rank, CodeChef, CodeForces, InterviewBit and SPOJ leads to high package placements. Industry Institute Interaction – as a part of it i) provide direct training to students by Industry experts on curriculum courses and on latest Technologies ii) entered in to MoU with Various academies AWS, CISCO, Red Hat, Palo Alto, Blue Prism University through which both faculty and students are being certified on Latest technologies iii) Centres of Excellence in collaboration with Hexaware Technologies and VIRTUSA were established., Semester Readiness Program is being implemented to faculty members for effective delivery of courses.
