Overview

Mortar Board National Honor Society is an association of college seniors selected for their achievements in scholarship, leadership, and service, while providing opportunities for continued leadership development, promoting service to colleges and universities, and encouraging lifelong contributions to the global community. The Barbara Cook Chapter at Purdue University was chartered in the Fall of 1926 and since that time has grown to preeminence in the national organization, which claims 233 college chapters. Nationally, it is one of the few chapters to win the Ruth Weimer Mount Chapter Excellence Award three times (2002, 2014, & 2022).
