(PHIS – www.prognosishis.com) is a healthcare software company that provided electronic medical records (EMR) and financial systems to rural and community hospitals with 25 to 100 beds. The company was 1 of the initial 6 Inpatient EMR vendors to receive Meaningful Use (MU1) certification in late 2007. The company experienced explosive growth between 2008-2010 at which time Openview Partners made a significant investment into the company. The company continued explosive topline growth but Openview managed the company poorly with unacceptable management and technology decisions. in December 30, 2013, Dirk Cameron led a group of investors to acquire all the assets of PHIS into a new company - AO Capital Partners, dba Prognosis Innovation Healthcare.
