Overview
The Princeton First Aid & Rescue Squad was established in 1939 by a group of dedicated individuals who volunteered to put others above themselves. Even though the technology has changed, that same drive to give of yourself to help others is a vital component of the organization today. The Princeton First Aid & Rescue Squad is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that is 80% volunteer run. We are an independent organization that does not receive funding from the Municipality of Princeton or any other government agency. The Princeton First Aid & Rescue Squad depends on generous contributions from individual, foundations, and corporation to continue our mission to save lives, relieve the suffering of the sick and injured, and promote safety. The Princeton First Aid & Rescue Squad is proud to have a team of over 90 dedicated volunteer and career members who are professional, courteous, and highly skilled in emergency medical and technical rescue service with a strong desire to help those in need. Our members supplement their EMT and Rescue Technician certifications and extensive experience with ongoing internal training to ensure those we serve receive the highest quality patient care. The Princeton First Aid & Rescue Squad's headquarters houses four ambulances and a heavy rescue truck. Our fleet is also made up of a UTV off road vehicle, a Rescue One Connector boat, a rehab truck, and two first-responder vehicles. Located in the northwestern corner of Mercer County, our jurisdiction is bordered by West Windsor, Plainsboro, Lawrenceville, Kingston, Montgomery, Hopewell and Rocky Hill.
