Education and culture for all! Public Open University Zagreb (POUZ) is the largest adult education/learning and cultural institution in Croatia. We offer to our students educational programmes, vocational training and additional training programmes, elementary, high school and secondary school programmes, cultural and publishing programmes, programmes of lifelong learning, development and international projects, as well as programmes of the University of the Third Age (U3A). Adult education Our business premises and facilities are built with a specified purpose for education and cultural activities and are even today optimal for a large number of students. There are numerous demonstration rooms and laboratories, workshops intended for creative programmes and a hall for recreational and dancing projects. There are also four galleries and a library with 36,000 titles.With our numerous educational programmes we support regulation of the labour market, resolve unemployment issues, while trends of the development of new technologies, development of specific occupations and inclusion within European integrations have been lead with the corresponding quality as well as the realisation of numerous international projects – i.e. learning directed towards the student, toward his or her needs. The building – a cultural good Public Open University Zagreb is situated within one of the most beautiful buildings of modern architecture, designed by a university professor Radovan Nikšić. For this architectural achievement he has been awarded with the City of Zagreb Reward as its architect, while for the magnificent internal design and fitting out Bernardo Bernardi deserved credit.
