Overview

Porthaven is a 31 acre New Urbanist oceanfront resort development project located in the heart of Florida’s “Forgotten Coast". The area is known for its natural beauty and excellent sporting opportunities. This Traditional Neighborhood Development (TND) offers 313 pedestrian-friendly residential units comprised of 144 compound lot units, 150 mansion apartments, 58 duplex units, 65 single family attached, and 40 live/works units. Additionally, Porthaven has a combined 60,000 sq ft of experiential retail and commercial space. Total build-out is projected to be approx. $467 million. Porthaven boasts an outstanding design team led by Duany Plater-Zyberk & Co. (DPZ) planning and architecture firm. For more than 20 years, noted architects Andres Duany and Elizabeth Plater-Zyberk have spearheaded the nation's most exciting movement in urban planning. Known as New Urbanism, the movement's principles promote the revival of traditional ideas for livable, human scale communities while skillfully designing the future. DPZ’s projects have received numerous awards, including two National AIA Awards and two Governor’s Urban Design Awards for Excellence. The firm’s earliest project, Seaside (Florida), was the first authentic new town to be built successfully in the United States in over fifty years. Time Magazine selected Seaside as one of the 10 “Best of the Decade” achievements in the field of design. The firm has been featured in other national media such as NBC News and ABC News, as well as Newsweek, the New York Times, the Washington Post, and the New Yorker. TNDs in general and DPZ projects in particular have established a track record of outstanding financial performance. The Porthaven project is majority-owned and developed by Growth Group, LLC.
