Polo - Research Laboratories for Emerging Technologies in Cooling and Thermophysics was founded in 1982 by faculty members of the area of Thermal Sciences of the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Federal University of Santa Catarina. In this short space of time, Polo has established a tradition of excellence in teaching, research and extension.
