Plant Based School Kitchens

Overview

A dedicated team of professional chefs and nutritionalists.. Our vision is to see a Plant Based Gluten Free kitchen in every school. 1. Why are you offering Plant-based food? A plant-based diet is a “healthy lifestyle a well-planned, plant-based, vegan-friendly diet that supports healthy living in people of all ages”, according to the British Dietetic Association (BDA). Children who are raised on healthful vegan diets have a reduced risk for heart disease, cancer, obesity, diabetes, and other conditions 2. Isn’t gluten as essential part of a child’s diet? Refined wheat is enriched with vitamins and contains little to no nutritional of its own, as well as being pro-inflammatory; around half a million people in the UK are undiagnosed as Coeliac. We prefer crafting colourful, nutritionally balanced, and non-inflammatory food to people instead! 3. What about B12, iron, protein, and calcium? These foods are surprisingly easy to obtain with a plant-based diet! Protein is commonly found in beans, lentils, and peas—and without the cholesterol of animal fats. Iron is found in your leafy greens like kale, and calcium is found fruits, seeds and vegetables like broccoli! 4. How can I be sure my children won’t be hungry after a vegan meal? We make sure the child has a generous sized portion so they can eat until their tummy’s content! Research indicates that carbohydrates are what fill people up. And we will make sure that every child gets enough energy so they can learn and play enthusiastically all day! 5. My child has additional dietary requirements. Can you help with this too? Absolutely!
