Overview

Founded in 1994, PLANT Architect Inc. is an award-winning practice that branches into architecture, landscape, and design. The studio operates across spatial scales and disciplinary borders to reveal a site’s potential, distill client objectives into a clear design vision, and create timeless spaces that heighten one’s experience of a site, city, building, or natural landscape. In 2016, the Nathan Phillips Square Revitalization at Toronto City Hall, by Plant Architect | Perkins+Will Canada in Joint Venture, earned a Governor General's Medal in Architecture and a National Urban Design Award (Medal). PLANT's services include public space design, landscape architecture, institutional and residential architecture, interiors, urban infrastructure, feasibility studies, and master planning. We also offer a range of value-added services that include furniture and lighting design, public facilitation, and integrated graphics. Our interdisciplinary design approach allows us to make important connections between people, places, and ideas, and it remains central to our ongoing commitment to public engagement. PLANT Architect maintains a team of 14 architects, landscape architects, and key members of support staff. The size of our firm enables us to employ a strategic and nimble scale of operation, where the partners remain directly involved in a project’s design and construction.
