Placebo Effects is a Norwegian company providing digital design and visualization services for architecture, entertainment and advertising since 1999. Our talent has a diverse background ranging from architecture and film production to 3D design and visual effects. Architectural visualization The main body of our work are still image architectural visualizations and architectural films. These range from interior visualizations of apartments, to some of the largest landbased projects in Norway such as the Telenor Fornebu project, the Bjorvika urban development including the DNB headquarters, and the Statoil international and regional offices at Fornebu. Film Our compelling filmmaking for architectural animation, using live characters to inhabit and tell stories about the buildings using cinematic language are one of our unique and most valued services. Our films have proven efficient, convincing and engaging helping our clients win competitions and succeed with their projects. Design Placebo Effects have the ability to both image and design innovative architecture and digital sets. This has been proven in projects such as our first prize winning interior design for the 100% Norsk Form competition for Risor Hotel, architectural concept development for various clients and digital set design and visual effects for commercials, television promos and AR applications. Augmented Reality Our most recent research and development work have led to the creation of several popular and acclaimed Augmented Reality apps, for some of the most visible brands in Norway including dairy producer Tine and DNB, the largest financial services group in Norway.
