Pick Your Passions explores topics within human performance, sports, fitness, and nutrition. Pick Your Passions is based on a quote that is often attributed to writer and poet Charles Bukowski, one of the last great American writers: “Find what you love and let it kill you” It just so happens that our passion is writing, so we started a website on which we can write to our heart's content, and we want to cover topics we are passionate about. The site will be an exploration into all things related to human performance, sports, fitness and nutrition. We want to nurture curiosity in other people's passions and hobbies. Instead of eliciting a negative response, we would like people to be open minded and curious about hobbies they haven't invested any time into. We believe that we can defend and explain our passion well enough to outsiders, maybe, just maybe, we can convince one or two readers to pick the topic as their own passion. The website was founded in Brisbane, May 2018, by Steffen Wikhaug, to serve as a creative outlet and a pet project. Wikhaug has a background in content production through roles of editor, writer and proof-reader for internet-based businesses. He is a communications professional with a Bachelor of International Communications.
