Every encounter between law enforcement and citizens can quickly become a life or death situation, in which the unknown can cause escalation and affect the outcome. LEESA™ (Law Enforcement Enhanced Situational Awareness™) can save lives using AR to replace the unknown with real-time situation-critical information, as simple icons, directly in the officer’s line of sight. LEESA is being developed by Persent, a company on a mission to protect the lives of citizens and law enforcement officers, while strengthening communities by minimizing bias, reducing financial burden on cities, and rebuilding trust between law enforcement and the citizens they serve. Based in Atlanta and Seattle, Persent was accepted into the Invention Science Fund's Incubator at Intellectual Ventures.
