Overview

The Penny Foundation is a community-chest focused on eliminating economic inequality in the black community. We work through the lens of technology and innovation. The Foundation connects people, organizations, and resources in the areas of family, economic, and community development. We accomplish our mission through grant-making, programs, and donor advised funds. Our initiatives are informed by staff and volunteers who have an intimate understanding of the community’s history, culture, politics, and population. We serve as a philanthropic vehicle for people to focus their resources throughout the community.
