The Penn State Small Business Development Center (SBDC) offers free business consulting for Centre and Mifflin counties. Whether you already own a business or are planning to start one, our seminars and free consultations can help you achieve your goals. If you are an aspiring business owner, you may want to check out our low-cost pre-business seminar, "The First Step of Starting a Small Business. " Or perhaps you need advice on whether or not to expand your business, and want an objective assessment of your situation. Or maybe you are interested in purchasing a business and need someone to help you determine the financial feasibility of pursuing the transaction. Whatever your small business needs may be, we offer free assistance to help you achieve your objectives. Our knowledgeable Penn State staff, faculty, and students serve as consultants. If the need arises, we also have access to a pool of off-campus consultants who can assist you with various aspects of your business. Mission: The mission of the Penn State Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is to grow the economy of central Pennsylvania by providing entrepreneurs with the education, information, and tools necessary to build successful businesses.
