Overview

The Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics (CCEB) is an interdisciplinary and interdepartmental program at Penn that connects important clinical problems with research methods within epidemiology, biostatistics and related disciplines to improve health outcomes. The Center facilitates research employing these methods, delivers nationally recognized education in clinical epidemiology and biostatistics, and advances and supports the careers of its members. A key benefit of membership within the CCEB is mentorship and working within a community with shared goals and research methods. The CCEB includes: >> The Biostatistical Analysis Core (BAC), staffed by professionally trained biostatisticians, biostatistical programmers and data managers, and provides a wide range of biostatistical and epidemiological consulting services. >> The Clinical Research Computing Unit, a data and project management center within the CCEB that provides the full range of services essential for the conduct of clinical research projects, including Phase I-IV, multi-center, randomized, clinical trials, registry, and cohort studies utilizing state-of-the-art technology and tools to ensure superior data quality. >>CCEB educational programs including the Masters of Science in Clinical Epidemiology, the Clinical Research Certificate Program, a course for medical students on clinical epidemiology and biostatistics, and directed programs tailored to individual company goals.
