PELEA is an independent 2D animated short film centering on a group of young women fighting territorial extraction from a fictional fossil fuel corporation that invades their home. PELEA is a film about overcoming trauma and finding the strength and resilience to keep fighting when you don’t want to, the struggle for survival in the face of oppression and destruction, and learning to fight back, even when fighting isn’t in your nature.
