Overview
PDL provide Community Consultation, Political Engagement and Media Relations services to the UK development industry. We work closely with a number of publicly limited companies, funds and private developers on residential, commercial and mixed-use developments of every size across the country. PDL is the trading name of Political Developments Limited. Recent PDL projects include: Basingstoke Golf Course - A residential led mixed-use scheme comprising of up to 1,000 new homes. Application submitted to Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council in April 2019. Birchington – A residential led scheme comprising of between 1,600-1,800. Site is featured in the Local Plan but application currently not submitted. PDL currently engaging with local stakeholders and consulting with community to promote the site. Didcot – A residential led scheme comprising of up to 750 new homes. Application submitted in March 2019 after extensive public consultation led by PDL, including a public exhibition. The Steadings, Cirencester – A residential-led scheme of up to 2,150 new high-quality homes. Planning permission was granted in January 2018 by Cotswold District Council despite significant and mobilised local opposition. Houghton Regis North Site 1 - Plans comprise up to 5,150 new homes, a £45million contribution to the A5-M1 Link, 3 Primary Schools and new health facilities. On 4th September 2013, Central Bedfordshire Council unanimously resolved to grant outline planning permission for HRN1, the Secretary of State decided not to call-in the application on 30th January 2014. High Leigh Garden Village - A residential led mixed-use scheme comprising of 523 new homes west of Hoddesdon in Hertfordshire, planning consent awarded by Broxbourne Council on this green belt site on the 30th July 2014. Aylesbury - A scheme for 750 new homes with enhanced community facilities. PDL hosted a two day exhibition and are engaging with the local community and political stakeholders.
