PCD Solutions PTY LTD was established in 2015 with the aim to provide a new technological breakthrough in high rate evaporation. The mining industry is often faced with excess ground water which cannot be discharged into the surrounding environment. Obtaining a license to discharge this water (Section 21f of the National Water Act) is extremely onerous. As such, PCD solutions has come up with a novel way of getting rid of unwanted surplus mine water without damaging the environment or the need for additional licensing. In recent decades, awareness of environmental impact and concern for the environment has increased dramatically resulting in stricter regulations worldwide, throughout all sectors, especially in the mining industry. Many of these regulations are focused on reducing the impact that incorrect disposal of water can have on the environment and local communities. During the summer, when an abundance of rain is added to your already full dams, it can be especially challenging to dispose of this excess water. When done incorrectly, you may face a hefty fine. however if left, you may run the risk of uncontrolled spills and potential operation stoppages, which may have a massive financial impact on your business. For these reasons, PCD Solutions was founded. We can help you to regulate your waste water efficiently and ethically by evaporating this water through high rate nozzles. With these patented nozzles, water is sprayed into the air and naturally evaporated, leaving any harmful heavy metals behind in the PCD. This ensures none of the damaging chemicals escape your dam and effect local communities and/or the environment. Each project we take on is specifically tailored to your waste water needs and your budget. Depending on the conditions, we can evaporate up to 2,000 cubic meters of water per day. Our system can be in use for up to 8.5 hours each day and can, under certain conditions, even be effective at night if temperatures exceed 20oC.
